The Union of International Mountain Leaders is the International body representing holders of the IML. This qualification lets the holder lead groups in different mountains all over the world, where the skills of alpinism are not required. IMLs can work with groups on high altitude treks as well as leading groups on snow shoes. IML’s, from every member country, have to maintain International Continuing Professional Development (ICPD) to ensure that members are kept up-to-date with the latest developments in mountain leadership.
The British Association of International Mountain Leaders is the Professional Organisation representing and overseeing British holders of the IML award
The Mountain Leader Training Association is the body for holders of all levels of awards under the MLTUK scheme

Climbing Walls
Indoor Rock Climbing Coaching
£90 per half day session (4 hour teaching time
minimum)
The indoor wall has become the place that many
people get their first experiences of climbing.
Whether you are looking to get an Introduction to
Indoor Climbing, Movement Coaching to Improve
your climbing and up your grade, or Indoor Lead
lessons I can arrange a session or program of
sessions for you.

Note I am willing to travel to other Walls in Scotland
to run courses.
Indoor Ice/Winter Climbing Coaching
£90 per half day session (4 hour teaching time
minimum)
Indoor ice walls can provide a place to work on your
winter climbing technique. A session at The Ice
Factor can improve the techniques you have been
trying to learn whilst Scottish winter climbing or help
you to prepare for that trip to Cogne or Rjukan.

Adding a session dry tooling can teach you a lot
about what your axes can do for you on mixed
climbs at home or abroad.
